SALT
POND, KAUA'I
This
is where ancient Hawai'ians got their salt.
We
spent our first 3 days here at this wonderful
campground
on the southwestern shore.
It
is sunniest on this side of the island, we ended up
returning
here when we were done up north.
Its
a great place for kids, it has a mini kidie size beach
on
the west side. Camping is best near the tree wall.
If
you have a tarp, put it up in the trees for a wind
block.
The wind can really pick up here, so make
sure
you're tied down. Anywhere in hawaii for that matter.
It
was a good place to get away from it all.
Great
snorkling on the east side.
